Our Yard is a cultural project by Mimm Studios exploring heritage, history, and music through the lens of Caribbean culture.
It is an evolving body of work that brings together clothing, interviews, and creative contributions from the Our Yard collective celebrating the impact of Caribbean diaspora and sound system culture in the UK and beyond.
Founded in 2011 Mimm is a multidisciplinary creative collective working across music, art, film, design, fashion and community engagement.
Rooted in the experiences and cultural influence of the Caribbean diaspora through our project Our Yard, our work explores the relationship between music, migration, identity and community within contemporary Britain.
From exhibitions and live events to workshops and public programmes, we champion culture that feels accessible, authentic and community-led. We are particularly passionate about celebrating migration, sound system culture, grassroots creativity and the voices that shape contemporary Britain.
Whether we are producing immersive exhibitions, hosting conversations, supporting young people through creative education or building platforms for underrepresented artists, our mission remains the same: to create work that inspires, connects and leaves a lasting impact.
