(Art) Spanish Church Transformed into a Skate Park

January 05, 2016

A 100 year old church in Llanera, Spain has been converted into a skate park covered in psychedelic murals. Originally built in 1912, Manuel Del Busto had been abandoned for decades and was crumbling from neglect. Not wanting to see such a beautiful building go to waste, a group of enterprising individuals pioneered by artist Okuda San Miguel campaigned to cover the walls and ceiling with Miguel's unique brand of colourful work.

The project was given the go ahead and with the the little help of the good people at Red Bull the church is complete and has been brought back to life again. This is a truly special place to skate, check the pictures below for the amazing scenes inside this ancient building.
